In keeping with the many firsts in the industry that can be attributed to Huron, we introduced our uPVC entry door system in 1996. Our goal with the "Stonegate" product introduction was to offer the Consumer a complete 'maintenance free' package for their home. Huron has also added to our product line a 'maintenance free' wood-grain color option - new for 1999. Huron is the first in Canada to offer this feature - a technology that has been in Germany for the last 25 years. The "Sylvan" color option will now offer Consumers the beauty of wood-grain, with the maintenance free advantages of uPVC. |

Our marketing strategy has been, and will remain, Dealer-based. In today's marketplace, there are many direct-sale manufacturers. At Huron, we still prefer representation through a Dealer base - it has been a reciprocal business relationship - a proven win-win partnership!
The current Dealer-based market area is concentrated in Central Canada and the border States of the US. We are pursuing the US and Eastern Canadian market-place through an Agent network. |

In July of 1996 we built a new facility, expanding floor space by 64%. We further expanded the facilities in September, 1998 by another 61%. The increased capacity has enabled us to service our current market area and look to service new areas as well.
Traditionally,
Huron's market share is split between, 50% renovation/50% new construction. Commercial projects are viewed from a support stand-point of any Dealers' initiation. Huron is also pursuing tendered projects that fall outside of our current Dealer/Agent base in both Canada and the US. |
