1965

- In 1965, William (Bill) Fehr, a Carpenter by trade; created the business foundation for Fehr Glass & Aluminum by converting an older farm house into a manufacturing facility.
- The primary manufactured products were Aluminum Windows, Storm Doors, and Awnings.
- With the success of the business came growing pains and after expanding with another 1200 Sq.Ft. building; it became obviously clear that the demand was far exceeding the room to manufacture the supply of products. It was time to move!
1973

- Fehr Glass & Aluminum moved operations into Morden, Manitoba. Sadly, shortly thereafter, Mr. W. Fehr passed on. This left the legacy to be carried forward by his sons.
- Even after expansions and renovations; space was still insufficient to meet the business demands and Fehr Glass began the undertaking of constructing a newer facility to house the manufacturing of Windows and Doors. And yet again, a move was planned!
1976

- A brand new 6,000 Sq.Ft. manufacturing facility was constructed on 300, Route 100 of Morden, Mb. Along with separating the manufacturing entity from Fehr Glass & Aluminum, a new business entity came to fruition; this entity was aptly named Fehr Thermo Glass.
- As the demand for Aluminum Windows began to decline; a new venture was undertaken . . .
1980. The Beginning of Huron Window Corporation.

This was the inception of the PVC Window and with that inception came the birth of Huron Window Corporation. Although the new manufacturing plant was expanded by an additional 15,000 Sq.Ft. over many years; the demand for the new PVC Window System overcame the manufacturing space of Huron Window Corporation. And . . Here We Grow Again!
1995

- Huron’s new home began as a 31,500 Sq.Ft. manufacturing facility in Morden, Manitoba and as of July 1, 1996 our home was ready and we moved in.
- Since then, Huron’s manufacturing facility has reached well over 60,000 Sq.Ft. in order to meet the demands of the marketplace and sustain the high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and service that our founder, Mr. William Fehr set forth as our "Industry Standard".
2006

- As Huron’s strength grew in the marketplace and our customer base expanded further from our rural home of Morden, Mb. It was clear that another period of growth was encroaching upon Huron Window Corporation.
- In order to address the expanding customer base, and to meet the demands of our company, Huron added its first retail showroom in Winnipeg, Mb. Within this 6,000 Sq.Ft. retail space reflects a “Real Life” atmosphere that demonstrates the high quality of Huron products.
